Instead of focussing on existing Final Fantasy properties that they currently have in development, they've released a tech demo showing what a prospective Final Fantasy title could look like on next-generation consoles.
The video, which is just under four minutes long, has been dubbed Agni's Philosophy. It showcases a blend of modern technology like guns, but also fantasy elements - there's even a summon thrown in there for good measure. Character design was supervised by Tetsuya Nomura, with Yoshihisa Hashimoto directing the video. Could this be the start of Final Fantasy XV? Who knows.

For the those who are curious about the contents of the japanese page, it basically talks about the "brilliant future of advanced game playing."
Here is the organization of researchers and development: creator, artist, engineer, of the ideal (FF). Square Enix has left romance and the frontier spirit which tends to be lost in this day and age. I put soul into the work place to make it all possible (or something like that). We will create a "world-experience game that will give everyone goosebumps" with us. Please look forward to the future, Square Enix.
We look forward to our staff's development and for your application.
MY THOUGHTS ON THE DEMO:
This demo had a lot of potential and the graphics were just BEAUTIFUL. I'm looking forward to it and I hope to see a game out of it in the future.
